CAREERS @ Performance WorX


Performance WorX was founded upon the concept of providing a place to bring together Performing Arts students seeking guidance and direction, and instructors, mentors, and artists in an awesome place designed and operated to "Bring the Arts to Life!"  Our mission is to provide fertile ground where the seeds of creativity may flourish and where budding artists may be discovered -- and where the truly artistic among us may dream, grow, cultivate, and multiply their art! 

We have been privileged to bring together a small group of just such artists and mentors, who love to share their artistry and who desire the company of many more artists just like them -- from all areas of the Performing Arts World!  We are teaching budding young artists, creating, performing, and leading in a Performing Arts revolution in this area of South Mississippi!  If what you have read on these pages has sparked just such an interest in you, then you may be the Performing Artist/Mentor who would add the next piece to the quilt we assemble! 

APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR EMPLOYMENT AT PERFORMANCE WORX:

  • Bachelors Degree in Your Teaching/Performing Field (We will consider those nearing completion of Bachelors Study if demonstrated performance/teaching Capabilities are evident.)

  • Demonstrated ability to Perform and Lead in Performance in Your Desired Field.

  • Desire to Perform and to teach young and developing artists and a demonstrated ability to do so.
  • Ability to work closely with a TEAM of like professionals and to participate in events at PWX.
  • Desire to contribute to the Long-Term Artistic Life of the Pine Belt and South Mississippi.
  • Desire to EARN an income commensurate with your Dedication, Education, and Career Preparation!


DESIRED ATTRIBUTES OF TEACHERS AT PERFORMANCE WORX:

  • Has a passion for Students

  • The ability to set goals with Students to encourage growth and achievement

  • The ability to use available technology to enhance learning
  • The ability to implement a variety of techniques and styles
  • The ability to clearly and effectively communicate to Students, Parents, Staff, etc,
  • Is energetic, creative, organized, flexible, patient, collaborative, prepared, teachable!
